Important first step

For you beginners, when we say wash your model parts, we're not fooling.
The various companies generally do an outstanding job preparing the injection molded parts, but to be absolutely sure your kit is clean of all mold release agents, GENTLY wash them with the soap you use on your dishes.

Once you're sure that's all rinsed away, pat them dry with soft cloth or paper towels, then let them air dry overnight before you begin.
Use the time to study the instruction sheet and plan your assembly.
